Defying preconceived notions and expectation; Grammy Award Winning Artist Jody Watley delivers a live experience combining her distinct brand of elegance and funk.  A musical journey and melting pot of styles weaving 70's disco funk as a nod to her Soul Train and Shalamar past, signature solo 80's Pop/R&B, Jazz and ambient Dance/Electronica are seamlessly woven together for this special night of music.
The silky voiced singer/songwriter will also preview of new music from her appropriately titled forthcoming 10th album tentatively titled "Chameleon."

Grammy Award winning artist JODY WATLEY has a history that speaks for itself. One of the 80's defining artists, the Chicago native is widely recognized as an innovative music maker and style-forging pioneer. Some of her classic multi-format hits include 'Looking For A New Love', 'Don't You Want Me', 'Real Love', the groundbreaking collaboration "Friends" with Eric B. and Rakim and the ballad 'Everything'.

Since the mid-90s, multi-talented Jody Watley has also led the way as an entrepreneur working in the independent music world as one of the few already-established female best-selling artists to produce, create and own her recordings.

With millions of records sold and a diverse range of hits and recordings spanning over three decades, Jody Watley has successfully crossed a range of genres from Hot 100, Dance, R&B, Adult Contemporary and Jazz. Whether covering Cole Porter, re-imagining pop standards into memorable makeovers or performing her classic hits and rare sides; Watley's distinctive tone and presence takes us back to an era when pop, soul and jazz shared the stage.

The god-daughter of music legend Jackie Wilson Watley got her start on the iconic TV show Soul Train at the age of fourteen. Becoming one of the most recognizable and influential stars of the show led to an invitation by show creator Don Cornelius in 1977 to become an original member of the group Shalamar with signature songs such as "A Night To Remember” and “The Second Time Around”.

Known for combining beauty and style as integral aspects of her career as a recording artist and dynamic live performer, Jody’s list of accomplishments and achievements is indeed impressive: she's received Billboard Magazine's 'Lifetime Achievement Award', nominations for the MTV VMA's, NAACP Image Awards and American Music Awards. She’s been featured in VOGUE, ITALIAN VOGUE, Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Stone, Essence and named one of America's Most Beautiful People by People Magazine. Watley has also appeared on the Broadway stage in the hit musical GREASE as Rizzo.

Jody Watley is currently putting the finishing touches on her 10th solo full length "CHAMELEON" and penning her first novel.
